787 Million Reasons Why David Brooks Is Not in the Public Interest
David "Cancel Them" Brooks
Can't read anything from David Brooks: it's about making Brooks feel good about himself.
I hereby declare that anything David Brooks writes or says is not in the public interest.
David Brooks exhorts:
"I mean, you're not allowed to say — famously, shout fire in a crowded theater. You can't urge people to go kill somebody. Like, if it leads to violence, that should be prohibited speech, and especially if you're a private company and you care about the integrity of your institution..."
Kimms did not yell "Fire!" in a crowded theater. He shared his opinion about the dread he fears from the party in power (reminder: Brooks only values his own opinion, all others must be silenced for so-called breaking of civil norms).
Is a person is allowed to think and say whatever they want? Let David Brooks decide for me and you. He's the Decider of All Things Proper Speech: David Brooks seems to be a suppressive speech thug.
Brooks tacitly supports Brendan Carr's extortion of any media outlet Brooks doesn't like. Then, there's Fox: where hosts celebrate masked goons slamming congressional candidates to the ground. Does that serve the "public interest?" According to Brooks that's permissible, because he's a "conservative", "they deserve it". Such obeisance.
Well, there are 787 million reasons why none of that serves "the public interest". But for Idiot David Brooks, that's just fine with him...because it satisfies his own interests.
